Meet Julia

WHAT I DO:

I have a passion for relationships and I find my greatest strength to be working with couples as they achieve their personal goals. I assist in repairing relationships, improving communication, and creating healthier patterns of interacting. Specifically, I work with individuals and couples to improve their emotion regulation skills, process life-cycle transitions, navigate the complexities of affair recovery and build the relationships they want now. I view things from a systemic perspective, meaning that even as individuals, we are greatly impacted by our relationships. I strive to help others gain perspective and self-awareness in order to make positive changes within their life.

EXPERIENCE:

Since 2013 I have worked in private practice, primarily assisting individuals and couples. I received my Bachelor of Science in Family Studies from Kansas State University and my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University. I am fully licensed in Ohio, Massachusetts, Florida, and Virginia. I am also a Clinical-Fellow member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, a professional organization that regulates ethical standards in the Marriage and Family Therapy community.
