FAQ

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is typically about 60 minutes. During this time I will ask a variety of questions to learn about you and get background information regarding your presenting concerns. We will also begin identifying your goals for therapy during this session. Expect a relaxed, non-judgmental and confidential atmosphere.

How do I know if you are the right therapist for me?

I believe the therapeutic relationship greatly impacts your success in therapy. I invite you to be open to the process and give it a few sessions to see how comfortable you feel with me. With that being said, I am open to feedback and want to know if you feel something is not working. While I hope it is a good fit, I understand this will not always be the case and I will help you find someone who better suits your needs. Please note, if you present concerns that I do not feel qualified to treat, I will refer you to someone who has more experience in that area.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies greatly depending on presenting concerns and goals for therapy. Some clients may complete their objectives in a few sessions, while others may require longer treatment. This is something we will discuss from the beginning so we both have the same plan moving forward.

What forms of payment are accepted?

I accept payment from select insurance providers and major credit cards. Private payment or insurance co-payments are expected at the time of your session. Form of payment must be agreed upon prior to starting sessions.

Are telehealth sessions available?

Currently I am conducting therapy sessions exclusively via telehealth. I am licensed in Ohio, Massachusetts, Florida, and Virginia which allows me to offer telehealth sessions to clients residing within those states. However, current state guidance allows for greater flexibility to offer telehealth in other states on a case-by-case basis.
